Brainstorming for Round 1

Here I am mentioning whether I like this concept or not and why, as well
as thinking about ways that this interpretation of the prompt could be
practically implemented! (eg "this could be a fic if we did it like this!")

Dave and Terezi "Taking a Chance" on one another

Thinking about their moirallegiance as a "gamble". Dave deciding to trust Terezi after she'd just gotten John/almost gotten John killed. Terezi doing the coin flip and letting her Seer of Mind-ness put her relationship with Dave at risk, as well as "betting" his life and causing a Dave to die. Re-meeting on the meteor and taking another gamble to trust each other again.

Something easy to do for this would to do a comic, but have text about "friendship being a risk and sometimes when you take that chance you lose but in the end it's a bet worth making" overlayed over pictures of points in their friendship that fit the phrases.

For example, "It's a risk" would be their agreeing to work together, "sometimes you lose" would be the coin flip, and then "it's worth taking" would be them reuniting on the meteor and sharing a brofist or something.

I have this vague concept to focus on a 'scenelet', if you would, of Dave and TZ having that eventual (probably long overdue) feelings jam on the meteor. This could easily be a fic, but considering resources-and easy being for chumps-what if we did a few 'panels' to accompany a chatlog? Mixed media, MSPA style. XD

Here's a (very)rough outline just to help you get my concept:

-Dave finds Terezi chilling by herself, rambles about looking for her everywhere, bluhbluh..
-Turns out she's been doing a little quiet angsting about her 'gambles'. Generally looks like a sad sack, remarks very vaguely regarding Vriska, Davesprite, the doomed coinflip!Dave..
-Glances back to Dave, who is nonchalantly ejecting his sylladex of all scalemates, cans, shitty comics, empty coffee cups, spare bits of chalk ect, asks him what he's doing.
-Remarks 'making a pile
thats how yall do this right
jump in the pile and all your worries take a hard grind on the moe-rail and ollie outtie or some shit
get in the pile tz
were doing this

-And then they proceeded to have the chillest multispecies feelings jam in the history of paradox space.

Cheating using powers

Dave and Terezi competing in games of chance but using their powers to cheat. Dave consulting future-hims about the outcome of certain events. Terezi using her Seer of Mind powers to predict or manipulate the results. Friendly competition.

Less of a concrete idea and more of a refining of the general concept, but what if Dave and Terezi teamed up against Vriska and/or Rose? Sort of like a bet, to see if they could literally beat the forces of luck.

Poker Game

Was thinking of maybe going for a less conceptual interpretation and making a short "sunday strip" comic based off of the prompt of gambling. Basically, Dave and Terezi decide to play cards to pass the time. Dave has planned to cheat by hiding aces, but since Terezi is the Seer of Mind she sees this coming. Pale funtimes ensue! Aiming more for a light-hearted approach of the topic.
